Recently, a friend and startup CEO told me he used Salesforce for the first time. It's horrendous, he said with disgust. Yet, Salesforce generated more than $13 billion in revenue last year, growing at 26% YoY with no signs of slowing down. Why is Salesforce able to generate so much revenue with such a poorly-crafted product?
Because yesterday lasts a long time.
eBay is a $37 billion company... yesterday lasts a long time.
BP denies climate change for decades before investing in sustainable energy... yesterday lasts a long time.
The list goes on.
